Connect Bonnie to your restaurant website
Connect Bonnie to Sitebite and let guests chat with you on WhatsApp straight from your website: questions, bookings and confirmations, any time, without your team having to pick up the phone.
What is Bonnie?
Bonnie is an AI phone and WhatsApp assistant for hospitality. Bonnie takes calls and chats around the clock: opening hours and menu questions, booking requests, confirmations, and follow-ups. Guests chat over WhatsApp, and Bonnie connects on the back end to booking systems like Formitable, Zenchef, TheFork, and Guestplan. Keep Bonnie as your AI host for phone and WhatsApp, and put the WhatsApp widget on your own restaurant website.
Why connect Bonnie to your Sitebite site?
- WhatsApp button on your own site. Bonnie loads on every page of your restaurant website, not just one landing page.
- Paste and go. Copy the embed code from the Bonnie widget configurator. Sitebite pulls out the widget key, colours, position, and WhatsApp number automatically.
- Styled from your own dashboard. Set button colour, action buttons, panel background, left or right position, and the offset from the edge in Sitebite.
- One or several locations. Paste an embed that includes venues, and Sitebite remembers the locations.
- One dashboard. Site and integration live in one place, with no separate embed code to paste into WordPress or raw HTML.
- Alongside your booking system. Bonnie doesn’t replace Formitable or Zenchef. Guests chat over WhatsApp, and bookings land in your existing system through Bonnie.
How to connect Bonnie in Sitebite
- Set up Bonnie first on Bonnie’s side: account, WhatsApp Business, and widget in the Bonnie widget configurator.
- Copy your embed code in the configurator with Copy embed code.
- Log in to Sitebite, choose your site, and go to Integrations, then Bonnie.
- Paste the embed code into Paste embed code, or enter just your widget key (starts with wk_).
- Choose your launcher, the floating button is recommended, and set position and colours, or leave the values from the embed as they are.
- Click Save. The Bonnie widget appears on your live site right away.
Pasting the full snippet is the easiest option: separate fields don’t overwrite the embed if you paste at the same time, the embed always wins.
Practical uses for restaurants
- A guest finds you through Google: lands on your site, taps the WhatsApp button, and Bonnie answers questions about opening hours, the menu, or a table, even during service.
- Fewer missed calls: guests would rather chat than call, and Bonnie picks that up over WhatsApp around the clock while the floor is full.
- Multiple locations: one widget, the guest picks a venue, and Bonnie routes the conversation to the right WhatsApp number.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a separate Bonnie account?
Yes. Sitebite connects your existing Bonnie widget. You need an active Bonnie subscription and a widget key.
Where do I find my widget key?
In the Bonnie widget configurator, via Copy embed code. Look for the widget key that starts with wk_, or paste the whole snippet into Sitebite.
Does Bonnie replace my booking system?
No. Bonnie is the WhatsApp and phone assistant. Bookings stay in Formitable, Zenchef, Guestplan, and similar systems. Sitebite only embeds the widget.
Can I match the button to my house style?
Yes. Button colour, action buttons, panel background, position, and offset are all set in Sitebite, or already in the Bonnie configurator before you paste.
Does this work on mobile?
Yes. The floating widget sits at the bottom right or left on every page, on phone too.
What if I have several locations?
Paste an embed that includes locations. Sitebite keeps them. To change locations, paste the embed again.
