SEO checklist for restaurants: finding and fixing issues with AI

A nice-looking website isn’t enough if Google and AI don’t properly understand your pages. With the SEO checklist in Sitebite, you see at a glance what’s missing, and fix many problems with a single click.

What does the SEO checklist check?

Sitebite scans all your pages and media for common SEO problems:

  • Missing SEO title: the title that appears in Google. Every page needs one.
  • Missing meta description: the short summary under your title in search results.
  • Poor URL slugs: pages with unclear, too short, or numeric URLs.
  • Missing alt text: descriptions for images, essential for accessibility and image search (checked per language).
  • Poor file names: photos named IMG_4521.jpg instead of pasta-carbonara.jpg.

Fix automatically with AI

Each type of issue has a Fix button, and with Fix All you tackle everything at once. The SEO Expert Agent generates SEO titles, meta descriptions and alt text that fit your restaurant, in your site’s language.

You approve before anything goes live. No copy-paste, no developer.

How to use the checklist

  1. Open your site’s SEO checklist (at /seo-checklist).
  2. View the issues per page, sorted by severity (high, medium, low).
  3. Click Fix on an issue, or Fix All to resolve everything at once.
  4. Fill in manually where you’d rather write the text yourself.
  5. Repeat after major changes, such as a new menu or new pages.

The SEO checklist and AI Visibility

The checklist focuses on SEO at page and media level. Your AI Visibility Score looks more broadly: structured data, menu intelligence and intent coverage. Together they form your complete SEO and AI strategy.

For the technical foundation, we have separate articles on schema markup and local SEO.

Tip: start with your key pages

Fix your homepage, menu page and contact page first. Those get the most visitors, and that’s what Google and AI look at most.
