Separating supplier and press contact from your guest form
Your general contact form catches everything: a guest with a question, a supplier introducing themselves, a journalist wanting to know something. Handy at first, but as your business grows, that comes at the cost of overview. A request from a catering company deserves a different form than a guest’s question about allergies.
Why separating pays off
A supplier signing up wants to know who handles purchasing and how delivery works. A catering partner has different questions than a guest wanting to book a table. By capturing these requests in a separate form, you know at a glance what you’re looking at as soon as a new submission comes in, with no need to read the whole thing first to understand what’s being asked.
What a supplier and press form needs
- Type of request: supplier, partnership, press or other.
- Company name and contact person.
- Brief explanation of what they’re offering or want to know.
- Separate notification email, for example to whoever handles purchasing or PR, instead of your general inbox.
How to set it up
- Create a new form alongside your existing contact form.
- Add a select field for the type of request.
- Set up a dedicated notification email, separate from your guest form.
- Place the form on a separate page, for example “Business” or “For suppliers”, not prominently in your main menu next to bookings.
Your inbox stays organised
All submissions still arrive in your Sitebite inbox, with status shown. The difference is you see at a glance whether it’s a guest, a supplier, or a press enquiry, instead of having to work that out from the content.
